Hello, guys. My wife has been diagnosed with ovary cancer. We are all caught by this. I think that she will have doxorubicin as the treatment option. What do you think about this cytostatic drug for dealing with ovary cancer? I would really need some other opinion. Thank you in advance.

Hi, there. The initial treatment is changing when it comes to ovary cancer. Most patients first receive drugs with platinum and taxane. Those would be cisplatin, carboplatin and paclitaxel. However, lately other drugs can also be used in the first line. One of them is doxorubicin. I am not sure that doxorubicin alone is enough. There are protocols with several drugs that are recommended. You should consult your wife’s doctor. Bye!
