Hi, guys. My friend has been diagnosed with penis cancer. At first, I thought he will go with surgery, but instead he will be treated with anti neoplastic antibiotic. This sounds strange to me, so I would like to find out something more about this. Can someone provide me with more info? I will appreciate it.

Hi, there. This shouldn’t bother you. Anti neoplastic antibiotics do exist. They are also cytotoxic drugs that are used in chemotherapy. Some of them are bleomycin, doxorubicin, mitoxantrone, etc. They mostly act by defragmentation of DNA. Treatment of penile cancer varies. Sometimes surgery alone is enough. However, sometimes it is combined with chemotherapy or radiotherapy. I hope everything will be all right.
