hi im 19 and after me and my girlfriend had sex,(unprotected). i washed my personal area with shampoo and the next morning, my area was swollen,dry and red. water cures it for minutes and lotion last a little longer but comes back even dryer. any suggestions would help me out alot.

Bare in mind I'm stabbing in the dark here, but it sounds like just a reaction to the shampoo. You may want to consider using a moisturiser and a soap more suitable for sensitive skin to clean that area.
My knowledge of STIs is limited so you may want to do some google searching to see if there's an STI thats causing it.

I have a bit more knowledge with STD's and i really doubt its a disease. the symptomes showed up too quickly. i agree it is mostlikley a reaction to the shampoo. what is it like now?? also have you taken any anti-histamines for it such as benedryl? that should help

yup its always a good idea to keep thoes as a potential cause but i have never herad of one causing symptomes durring or immediatly after sex. since STD's are caused by microorganisms such as bacteria, protists, viruses and fungi. the pathogen has to first attach its self and infect the cells/tissues. then they must replicate before one can start noticing symptomes. this can be as soon as a couple days or up to years depending on the pathogen. :-D
