My seven year old kid has been diagnosed with Rickets and I feel terrible because I am certain this is my entire fault! If I have been more cautious about the food he takes, perhaps there would not be a need for a treatment. Thanks to the early diagnostic procedure, it looks like he will not have to take the meds, only vitamin D.

It is a good thing that Rickets has been diagnosed while in its early stage of development, and you should not feel so guilty, it is something that cannot be spotted so easily, only with a medical examination. Vitamin D and perhaps even calcium will ensure that his bones return to a normal form and density which is very important for his further physical growth.
