I've started spotting 4 days before my regular period. I'm on the pill so I decided to skip my period with the pill. But after 3 days of not supposed to have a period, I am still lightly spotting. What would be causing that? I've been on that birth control for about a year and never spotted.

Random spotting can happen for ANY of us! there is no rhyme or reason, it just happens, it is usually from stress, hormones, illness etc. And even though stopping your period is an option - doesn't actually mean that's what your body is agreeing to! Your lining has still been growing ALL month, and wants to be released! So it WILL release when it wants to - just like hearing about women whom are pregnant, having "periods" when they aren't real periods, it's just build up of the lining! so don't worry, and make sure you have check ups and swabs every year - to keep an eye on your sexual health!
