Hello,
I am afraid I have endrometriosis. I have very painful periods (pain is consistent for more than 2 or 3 days, I was even took to hospital for anti-pain injections) and I experience pain during sexual intercourse. Is it possible I have endometriosis?

Hey there,
You have some symptoms of endrometriosis. Here is a list of possible symptoms: pain before and during periods and pain during sex (these are your signs---- but this is not necessary endrometrosis/ I also experienced this, and my gyn found a cyst on mu right ovary, which was then removed with laparoscopy), another sign of endromtriosis is infertility, fatigue, painful urination and painful bowel movement during periods and other gastrointestinal upsets such as diarrhea, constipation, nausea. Some women even suffer form chemical sensitivities and allergies.
You need to be checked by gyn if you want to know more in detail. Mention your problems the next time you visit your gyn. It would be best to make an appointment as soon as possible. Diagnosis is made with laparoscopy, which is a minor surgical procedure.
Best regards!

i have had p.i.d in the past, which affected me badly, about 2 years ago i was being sent into hospital to get a laparoscopy done as i was having extremely bad abdominal pain and heavy bleeding, i fell pregnant and therefore didn't get it done, i have felt fine since, i got the implant put in at the beginning of oct last year and i have never stopped bleeding since, my doctor gave me the pill to help stop the bleeding it is still on going and now i have the lower abdominal pain back, my doctor is treating me for p.i.d again but the tablets are not helping, it is getting to the point where i cannot stand some days.

In January I went to the doctor thinking that i had a bladder infection. They found that i had a cyst on my left ovary. They did 2 ultra sounds and told me i needed surgery to remove it. during surgery they had found endrometriosis and they have been putting me different pills to try and keep it in control. Nothing has worked so our last hope was to take a drug injection called Lupron depot which basically puts your body in a state of menopause because it blocks a certain hormone to your brain. The shot that i am on is a 6 month 2 injection treatment. I have been pain free since i have gotten the shot but dealing with MANY hot flashes and its hard to sleep. I hope I have informed some people on different treatments cause i know when i found out i had this i way clueless.
