Nerves that are in command of erections lie in the sacral part of the spine (S-vertebra). When men injury spinal parts above this area, they may have problems with erections that occur by emotional, mental or visual stimuli (called psychogenic erections)but may still be able to have erections caused by direct physical stimuli of the erotic zones.
Ejaculatory problems are more likely to occur with spinal cord injuries.
However, if the injury is not severe, erectile problems are not likely to occur unless you are in a lot of pain and discomfort, so you don’t feel like having an erection.
Blood vessels problems may prevent blood from reaching penis or
from staying long in the penis.

Sometimes working the Erector Spinae muscles in "DETAIL" from your Cervical Spine to your Sacrum can alleviate a great deal of tension on the spine. Also working your Illio-Lumbar Ligament, QL's, Hip Flexors, Glutes, and Piriformis...in "DETAIL"

I have a bulged disc in L5 and S1. No pain but extreme numbness in groin and some area near the anus. No ability to get erection. It all feels dead and disconnected. I’m scared to death it’s permanent. I didn’t have an injury or impact to myself it just seem to happen overnight. Please someone reach out to me with answers

I've had repeated episodes in which I throw out my back after doing something very uneventful, like leaning over my bathroom sink, or picking up a sock off the floor. After the latest episode, I started noting a general loss of sensation in the grown region. I can still feel pain if I pinch the head of my penis, but the sense of light touch is virtually gone.
I can still get erections --mostly by thinking about it (psychogenic), but erections by touch alone (reflexogenic) are extremely difficult. If I manage to get an erection hard enough to penetrate, I paradoxically suffer from premature ejaculation. It's all very depressing.
A neurosurgeon I saw viewed my lumbar MRI and noted a right paracentral annular tear/fissure of the L5-S1 disc. I also had an EMG done of both lower legs, which showed chronic, bilateral L5 radiculopathies (abnormal in the right/left peroneus long, right/left tensor fasciae latae muscles). However, he told me there was no stenosis and no reason he could tell why I'd have such sensation loss solely from the annular tear. Meanwhile, my feet often feel like they have pins/needles; the muscles in my feet and calves twitch and I routinely get charlie horses in my feet. All this from an annular tear?!?!?

I had low back pain once and no MRI findings but I had sudden onset premature ejaculation and I had never had that before in my life. It lasted about 8 months and I think it finally went away over time (ice, strengthening core, anti inflammatory meds). It never happened again until 10 years later when...no surprise ..I hurt my back. I have no MRI findings in the lumbar or sacrum but I notice if I bend over too much or do strenuous activity, too much sitting ... anything that affects my low back sometimes the issue will return.
Bottom line I think inflammation or impingement down the lumbar nerves can go into the sacral nerves and groin.
If I were you I'd look into surgery, traction/inversion or see if icing it helps. It's worth your quality of life. Good luck.
