I had a TURP operation at the Royal Surrey,
2yrs later I'm stil suffering with terrible pain and discomfort 24/7. Every time I see the
consultants at the hospital they tell me to keep
on taking Finasteride and prescribe anti-biotics or ibuprofen. All the threads and blogs say that recovery tiime is 4-8 weeks.
My work capacity is severely affected, where do I go from here?
Any professional out there that can advise me?

Have you only been seeing the same Uroligist? If so has he done any biopsies of your prostate area that the Turp reamed out. This is not proper conduct by a DR to just ignore symptoms that have gone on this long and have had such a negative impact on your life. Throwing pills at the problem and telling you to go away is just bloody incompatent.
Ask for a referal to another uroligist, if you have seen several then ask to see a Prostate specialist at one of the universaties.
