he past two times I have had intercourse with my boyfriend, suddenly I would get a sharp pain, in my left side, while he was inside me still. We stopped & tried a different position & it was better.
The first time, I was fine afterwards. But the second time, when we were finished, I was walking around the house & suddenly I started getting extremely sharp, gas like, pains in my lower abdomen area. Sometimes it felt like the pains were in my back area, right above my butt crack, but inside. Pains got worse if I tried to move. I've never had pains like this before, after sex. I was crying, it was so bad.
Fell asleep for a few hours & when I woke up, I was about 98% better. Nothing I had to really think or worry about.
We have had sex in the same positions, hundreds of times before and no problems then. But now suddenly, this horrible pain during sex, was new. Also at one point, it kinda felt like his penis was hitting something in my vagina. Or rubbing on something. But this wasn't when I was experiencing the pain.
Has anyone had these shape pains after sex, or anything similar?
Any ideas of what could be the issue? I'm afraid to have sex now. What should I do?

This happens to me and many more women out there than you know. A common complaint at the doctors/gyno office.
I had a hysterectomy last year, the other day with my husband I was doubled over with this pain too. I massaged it which made it worse and didn't feel good. I think that with my 'insides' gone my intestines hang lower and once in awhile it hurts worse. I also had sex from behind, doggy style and I know with that position he enters further than missionary style.
Before my hysterectomy, my hubby would hit my cervix. That also hurts and causes cramping. See your gyno/doctor and make sure your cervix is OK.
When wanting to have sex try the missionary style and see if that makes a difference.

The whole situation just freaked me out, cuz this has never happened before. We have done doggy style, hundreds of times, never once had a problem.
Then about a week ago, when we did it.. I just got that horrible sharp pain in my lower left abdomen area.. So he stopped. We switched positions & everything was fine.
Then, like I Said, the last time we did it, we tried doggy style again, got the same horrible sharp pain in the same spot.
But then afterward, I never felt like I did that night. The pains were so sharp and Everytime I moved, they would be more intense. Like they were shooting up my back or something. They eventually went away.
Then this morning, just suddenly I started getting those sharp pains again. But this time it was on my right side, just below my waist, in the crevice of like where my thigh starts. (sorry, can't explain very good).. It wasn't as bad as the other night. But I couldn't bend over for about 20minutes. Then it went away.
I guess I'm gonna have to make an appointment with my doctor tomorrow, just to make sure nothing serious is going on. I'm afraid to have sex now. It really sucks.
I'm sorry that there are so many other people who are experiencing, or who have experienced, this same problem. Yet I am glad that there are others I can relate to, so that I know I'm not alone.. Thanks Guys!!

It happens to me as well but I honestly think it's just gas .its a very sharp pain on my lower abdomen .i can't even walk or stand straight .I can feel the pain in my behind. Later on I go to the restroom and it goes away .I do really think it's gas.

Same here....it's a sharp pain after sex. It's hard to move and I curl in a ball. I try to pass gas but it hurts so bad. Whenever the pain starts to ease up I try to sit on the toilet. That actually helps.

It's trapped gas! Same thing happens to me every now and again. It's painful, The key to relief is doing something to help move the gas like exercising. I generally have a cup of coffee and a nap. Sometimes I take gas-x, it helps.

I had the same experience but after sex was way worse...it lasted for an hour or two and I couldn't move or it would get worse. Then when I got home I tried to pee and I haf sharp pains in my stomach and butt. Its been a day and a half and it feels like I have bad gas now.

Hey this happens to me as well your defienetly not alone. This has been happening to me for years but i always shrug it off because it’s periotically i just had sex with my boyfriend and it happened but i figured it was gas because I’ve been passing gas a lot but not passing how i should sometimes i hold it in and i was having lower abdomen pain plus i got to the gyn pretty often so i think I’m ok as far as my cervix goes definetly try to clean your system out if that doesn’t work then you can speak to your doctor.

Yes this had happened to me 3 x before with the exact experience as you. Making love, at one point my cervix was getting hit. I have to say a toy was involved too and it was sensational until we were completely done,that's when the rumble of pain came. It feels like labor. I can't move-I feel it in my bumhole. It's bad-my husband spent at least 1-2hrs trying to ease the pain.
