Hello Anna,
It has been going ok with the Zoloft. I feel like it does take a little of the fear away. I might need a higher dose in the future. I have been struggling a lot with feeling insecure. This whole experience has stripped me of so much of my self-confidence and my ability to handle everyday life. How have you been feeling?

Hey guys, Dani here with an update! My anxiety attacks are certainly nowhere near as bad as they were at the start but I do still get bad days. My period is now happening every other week and it's driving me freaking insane. I see my psychiatric nurse on the 11th and I'm going to ask for Zoloft or something because the low dose antihistime I'm on isn't doing much for me.

I'm starting to think my previous depression and current hormonal imbalance are fueling each other and it's really tiring me out. I just want to be me again.

For whatever reason, I feel so emotionally numb and it’s affecting my view of the future, almost like I can’t plan anything because who knows what will happen, I’ve been waking up for the last few days dreading the day. I keep telling myself that it’s hormones but I still can’t shake this feeling, anyone else ?

Hi!
Yes, you might want to talk to your doctor about having a higher dose, but it might just not have fully kicked in yet - for some people it can take up to 6 weeks I have heard. I'm glad you're feeling a little bit better though, that is progress at least! I agree with you, this experience has definitely changed how I handle situations and how I see myself and the world as well. I have been okay...my period just ended yesterday so I'm still feeling a little bit off and unsettled, but hoping it passes soon. I see my doctor on Monday so will see if she might recommend for me to increase my dose of Zoloft as well.

Okay so does anyone else get little heart flutters after their period or around their period?? I get this heart skipped a beat feeling for no reason the last couple of days (my period just ended). I did look it up and it says it can come from intense decrease or increase in estrogen around your time of month, which we all experience here. I’ve been feeling much better after just hitting 1 year off the pill but still get weird things like this sometimes, sigh.

Okay wow, it’s so weird and people say it’s bra size I’m stressed, but I’m fine?? This is annoying. Every time it happens I feel the need to cough I guess to catch my breath. And yes I have that too but just like negative thoughts about life/dying but not as much as I did in like month 1-5. How bout you?

I know you are suppose to just watch those thoughts and not react but that is so hard to do when its questioning my life.

Haha omg I had the same thing. I’d get weird negative thoughts too about everything but around month 7ish especially about things being safe or clean, very random. And I didn’t mean to say bra size I meant to say because lol but yeah the heart flutter thing is annoying, never taking birth control again, rather have 10 kids haha

How long did it take you ladies to regulate with your period? I stopped BC end of April and had a withdrawal bleed. Then went 2 1/2 months before I got my next period. I’m now on 53 days and still no period. Also 2 negative pregnancy tests. It just gets so frustrating.

I got my first period 5 months after getting off. I’m tracking it on the app Natural Cycles by taking my temperature and logging when I have my period. I’m a year off and it comes whenever usually every 39 days and the app says it’s “highly irregular.” Last month there were 20ish days between the end of my last and the beginning of my first, and then a couple months ago I skipped a period completely. So it’s honestly up in the air for me.

hey guys, I was on the estrogen and progesterone cream and it made me worse and feel like I am back to square one with this c**p! 7 months off.. Depersonalization is strong and emotionally numb, intrusive thoughts non stop about existence and dying etc. Cant believe its been this long! I was feeling better but now its been like this for a month. I am seeing a naturopath and have had blood work which says I have the symptoms of PCOS.... Could this be because my hormones are wacked from the pill or will I be stuck with this forever.... I never had problems before the pill with any symptoms of PCOS which is making me question it.

Does anyone else randomly feel nauseas and have sore breasts sometimes? I think it is around my ovulation time right now and I have been feeling nauseas over the past few days. I never had this before. I have been off the pill for almost 6 months!!!
