for the last month or so i’ve been feeling constant, stabbing rib pain each night. I usually sleep on my side and that’s when the pain is the worst - it’s like I’m sleeping on cracked ribs. I haven’t had any injuries to my ribcage or otherwise, so i’m starting to worry that maybe the pain is not caused by bone pain emanating from ribs, but instead that i might have lung cancer. I’ve smoked when i was a teenager, but shortly and i’m 52 years old male. i don’t have any problems with coughing or breathing during the day, the only major symptom i have is, like i said, rib pain on my right side during the night. any ideas as to what might be causing it?
