Hi aharter2.

This is probably what is called Splenic Flexure. An inflammation in the colon at the curved area near the spleen. Gases accumulate in that area. You may have a feeling of fullness or pressure in that area. You will need to go see a Gastroenterologist.

Let me know how it goes.

My husband is 27 and in decent health. He just started experiencing this today. I can feel it by putting my hand over his left rib cage. The best way I van describe it as someone touching him is a baby kicking. That's how it feels to me. This is pretty scary. Anyone else have any updates?

I have been experiencing the same problem it seemed to start with my workout.. I was working out my abs and now it comes and goes, no pain, just as if it were some spasms. This has been going on for 3 weeks, if I bend down it happens more when I am relaxed like lying down I dont feel it.
Anyway I am giving it another week if it continues I will see my doctor.
Good luck to all.. Iam sure it's not bad but I want to be for sure.

I experienced the same for two days. I note that nobody seems to have a remedy. I can only attribute it to muscle stiffness / lack of stretching exercise. I suggest as I am doing now that you gradually perform exercises that allow your rib cage muscles to stretch and contract, keep your chest area warm to relax the muscles, do not engage in rapid exercises at this time, use the Yoga pace. And drink Pediallyte and water. So far its working on me. Buddy lets strive to understand and get rid of these unnerving experiences. Today is Jan 27 2016.

Mine just started today, and I have really bad acid reflux, I've always had it. Today when I woke up right below my left rib it's like a fluttering feeling no pain or anything. Any help?

I have found that this symptom can be caused by pulling or using a muscle you don't use that often. I started experiencing this symptom after kicking around a soccer ball with my son on the beach, which I rarely have done, if ever in the past 15 years.

I read online that this could be related to a lack of B12

I have also had fluttering under left ribcage. Seems coffee and alcohol set it off. Hope that helps
