I was wonder how long does it take for your hand to heal after receiving a Guyan's canal release? I had compression of the nerve followed by surgery year ago. I still feel discomfort and irritations. Valium helps a little, but I am not sure if it is good.

I really don’t know anything about releasing Guyan’s canal after compression, but twinges of pain can occur while an incision is healing and in rare instances can persist for months. Some of the small nerve endings are necessarily cut in half by the incision making process and the scar tissue that irritates the original nerve being operated on may also result in persistent uncomfortable sensations. However, I am not a doctor. You should seek for professional help.
