i recently had a discogram done and i am waiting to hear on the results. I started out with not wanting to do this bc an othro doctor i had also seen when the neurosurgeon ordered the discogram said he wouldn't do it and would do epidural blocks or nerve blocks before he would ever think of doing a discogram bc they are so painful. let me tell you they are very painful, you are wide a wake and are not given any pain meds bc they want to recreat your pain. 4 needles are stuck through your back and into yur disc's to find out which ones are the problem disc. bc sometimes a MRI doesn't show all the problems. My MRI showed L5S1 was herniated and then another disc had a problem. The discogram showed that my L5S1 was a mess and another one was. now I am waiting to hear what we will do. Also the ortho doc's where saying it was all in my head and nothing was wrong with my back. Is there any malpractice I can look into with them, since i do have problem's and it was not in my head??
