On Sunday night of this week, I had unprotected sex with a man that I've known for 2 years. We've always been tested for diseases and have both been clean. However, it seems like two days later after sex I've had a slight sore throat and loss of appetite. I feel somewhat dizzy but that's about it. I don't have night sweats or any other HIV symptoms. However, this has happened before. When it did, I got tested for HIV and was negative. I don't understand why this happens every time.
I'm a gay male and it seems like when I bottom for the other guy, this seems to be a common problem, even when I use protection. The only reason why I've had unprotected sex this time is because I know we're both clean. However, after this I dont want to take any chances.
Does anyone have any idea as to what this may be?

Could just be the worry!
Stop doing it without protection! You don't need me to tell you that there are plenty of men who will say anything to get laid - especially if they can f**k you without protection!
Don't EVER believe anyone who says they are clean. The stakes are too high.
Play safe

i kinda agree with ste, some men will say anything to do it bare, i dont really know what it could be but it could be the way u breath during sex and it could dry out ur throat.

Turns out I had a severe case of tonsillitis, along with a peritonsillar abscess that followed shortly afterward.
Even now that I'm feeling better, I still have a lack of appetite. I seem to get what feels like a headache, but rather just a tiny bit of pain in the middle of my head that usually goes away after a few minutes.
I'm going to get tested again sometime this week hopefully. I know that's not enough time for a complete accurate reading, but I'd still like to know if I have HIV or anything else.
