I had cath. ablation surgery on March 11. 09 and a hard lump has formed in my right groin area thats the size of a walnut. It doesn't hurt by pressing on it but I'm concerned about it. Can you tell me what it could be?

Since you had this procedure which has gone successful somehow I am not sure if the lump on your groin is connected to this. Usually lumps which are formed on the groins are enlarged lymph nodes and they are representing that our body is fighting some infection.
Since you had that surgery it is a little bit concerning that your body is under attack of some bacteria or virus so I think it would be best to consult your doctor about this. It is always better to be safe than sorry and you are aware of the fact how important it is to be healthy. I hope that this is nothing serious. Keep us posted and good luck.

My husband has undergone ablation and lumps in the groin are common after surgery. I was really confused by a reply where someone was giving advice but didnt seem to know this. Very odd.

I have them on both sides 15 days out at the insertion sites about the size of a pea or a little bigger. My understanding is they are scar tissue from how the wound healed.

I am 6 months post heart catch in groin area. I keep getting large boils in area where Cath was done. I keep area clean and once boil begins to ooze, I try to get as much pus out and clean and disinfect with neosporin. Why does these keep coming back there?
