Ok so what happened is I was taking anti depressant..celexa to be exact..then my period came as always and me and my partner heard that you can't get pregnant if you get cummed in up to 4 days after your period..so we went for it..last time we had sex always unprotected of course..it was December 3,2008 and he didn't cum..but I did and he pulled out and as soon as he did..I started bleeding a lot!!!!..like if I just had an instant miscarriage..!I was freaked but didn't go to the E.R..so I bled for 2 days straight after that..then would stop and start..heavy but then would just..disappear.
Then finally back to my post-partum results from my pap..(DEC 8)to find out that I had HPV and of course I freaked!!! I didn't have sexual intorcourse untill I was 19..for the same reason I didn't want to catch ANYTHING!!!...ok so anyways they told me that the following Monday(DEC 15) I was going to have a biopsy done(if u dnt knw what that is..its when they take lil pieces of ur cervix to see if its pre cancerous..or cancer..)..
So I Went to my doctors (DEC 15) and got it done..(at like 10am)then went to go get tested for H.I.V and what not..then went home..slept until 5pm..then took a shower and saw I started bleeding so I put a pad on and ignored it..but I have been bleeding since the 3rd officially and non-stop since the 15..but now its DEC 21!!!and plus the 7 days of regular period I have..that..18 DAYS TOTAL OF BLEEDING!!!..I have gone to the E.R twice for excessive bleeding(same hospital2 times) and the 1st time they say they didn't find anything wrong just that I was anemic and they took all kinds of blood samples and ultrasounds both external and internal..and nothing..2nd visit and they also told me I was anemic and that it looked like I had a lot of blood lining in my uterus but that they were going to flush it out with hormone pills..and that was it..no one can figure out what's wrong with me..please if you've ever gone through or heard of something like this..LET ME KNOW!..THIS IS REDICULOUS 18 DAYS OF BLEEDING..AND 6 NON STOP! And no I'm not pregnant..

Im going through the exact same thing to the T right now... And I wanted to know if you found anything out on why you started bleeding? Its been 18 days for me right now... Exact same circumstances and everything... I need help!

i am having this problem as well; i have started eating better and working out more often but that still doesnt explain this nonstop bleeding. i wish someone would post an answer to our problems already

I have had the same thing....started bleeding (after 2 years of no period) on Feb. 1,2010 and on Feb. 15th went to my gyn...I was bleeding VERY heavily (soaking a pad in under 10 min.) my gyn sent me for a D&C with Hysteroscopy and took tissue samples for testing as well. I had the D&C and hysteroscopy yesterday and today I have NO bleeding at all and all the horrible cramping I had experienced since Feb. 1st is completely gone. I feel like a new person. I have to wait a week to find out about the test results but after having bleed this long my hemoglobin was so low that they said I was on the threshold of being at stroke levels. My advice to you.......GET TO YOUR GYNECOLOGIST!!! They know MUCH more about the reproductive/menstrual cycles of a woman that your General practitioner does........stop going to the ER and get to your regular Gyn Dr. They'll know what to do !
