I am 37 years old, I have 4 kids and the last two were twins. I had a tubal when I had the twins. I have never had heavy periods until after the twins and now they are extreme; tried pill, neuva ring, and IUD to control bleeding but none worked. Now I take Rx ibuprophen when I start and it does minimize it somewhat. Unfortunately I was a bit early and did not have my ibuprophen for this period. I am extremely HEAVY and changing tampons every 20 mins, this is not unusual for the first day but now am into day two and have noticed a few things. First I am Very dizzy and fatigued. Also upon removal of tampon, the blood comes out thick and syrupy, not clot-like there was so much it couldnt be cleared in the toilet flush. Normally when i get some blood on my leg it dries fast and needs a wet wipe or similar to clean up. Today the dried blood wiped clean like powder. It literally looked like freeze dried powdered blood as soon as it dried. I havent experienced this before nor can I find anything online in reference to it. This is a scary period and any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Melissa

Hi Melissa, I'm experiencing the same thing, except I don't have kids, I have had my period for a little over two months now and what we are experiencing is very dry discharge during our period that come out with the bleeding. It is nothing to be worried about, my doctor had said we need to be drinking more water. I had to wear maternity pads. I hope this helps.
