I was walking around my neighborhood on the 5th of May when a truck failed to stop at an intersection and slammed into my right side. I would say that they were going between 15 and 25 mph. I was thrown a few feet and by the time I had gotten to my feet the truck had peeled away. Unfortunately, I was not able to get their license plate as they had made an immediate turn down another side street before I could stand up.
The immediate problem was my right leg. I developed a rather large lump on my right hip and a limp that lasted for five days. Now I can walk for extended periods of time, but I went hiking two days ago and I started limping towards the end. However, that's not the problem that worries me.
I noticed that my floating ribs hurt a bit after the incident. However, I just wrote it off as a potentially bruised rib and left it at that. I could take deep breaths, cough, etc. for the first few days. Then I noticed on the 8th or 9th that they would hurt whenever my girlfriend hugged me in that area. However, the pain wasn't severe so I simply thought that it confirmed my bruised rib theory. At this point the pain only occurred when my right side was pressed and muscle relaxers made the pain disappear almost entirely. The pain became a bit more pronounced every passing day, but not enough to alarm me until this morning. This morning I woke up and I felt a severe pain whenever I took a deep breath, bent to the right side, or coughed. The pain escalates in that order with taking a deep breath hurting the least and coughing hurting the most. Walking can trigger the pain as well, but it's not as much.
The pain itself is sharp and sustained for as long as I'm engaged in the activity that causes it. I've taken Aleve and that seems to alleviate(hah!) the pain to a certain degree. It's now occurred to me that it may not be a bruised rib, but some sort of internal damage. I'm particularly worried about damage to my liver, lung, or peritoneum.
I haven't had any problem urinating over the past week and I've been drinking a lot of water today to see if blood appears in my urine. So far it's been clean and clear.
Any advice on what it may be, especially symptoms to keep an eye out for, would be greatly appreciated.
I don't have health insurance, so I haven't gone to a medical professional. I can't really afford to go to a medical professional either as I don't make very much money and I don't have any credit cards.
Thank you very much.

I'm not sure about anything in regards to what could be wrong with you, but I read your story and had to say - it's absolutely disgusting and inhuman that the truck driver didn't stop! Did you report it to the police or maybe try the local news station to see if any witnesses saw what happened? I'm so sorry that happened to you :(
I suggest you get an xray done asap if you haven't already. But also, don't stress out, your body will still be healing, and being hit by a truck is no small thing.
Good luck with everything, I hope you feel well again soon.
