Okay, so I am 14 years old and I had my first period in December, it was VERY light and I was able to use ultra thin pads and change them every 4-6 hours without discomfort. It also was more of a brownish colour and I didn't really bleed at night... But last month (my second period) was MUCH different! It was SUPER heavy! I was using my older sisters heavy flow pads and changing them every 2 hours or less due to discomfort. That period was red. And it had like a red gooey, kind of jelly coming out too, what was that?! Also my first period lasted lasted about 4 or 5 days and my last one lasted 7-8 days. I got very frustrated having my big chunky pad while playing all my sports and decided to use a tampon. So that leads me to my next question, how do I know if the tampon is full? And last question even when not on my period I feel like my vagina smells.. is that just me or can you like actually smell your period and your vagina? Do I have a yeast infection?! HELP ME PLEASE!

About how often to change tampon i think they say you should change them every about every 2 to 4 hours, if you do a search on Google for how often do i have to change a tampon it should give you a better idea. The gooey lumps you say about could just be the thick mucus lining me the womb but its nothing to worry about hun.
Your last problem the smell what sort of smell is it and it could be a yeast infection if your worried about it i would talk to an older female about it or in see your doctor.
Hope this helped you out hun
