Hi, there. I think I may have arrhythmia. My heart works irregularly. I must admit that I went to a doctor, but he said to me it wasn’t anything serious. I would like to know how i can tell if arrhythmia is benign or indicating heart problem. I would really appreciate all your replies. Thanks.

Hello. Arrhythmias are defined as irregular heartbeats. Most of them are benign and do not need treatment. If they are joined with another heart disease, then they are more serious. Arrhythmias are more serious if they interfere with your daily activities or your sleep. If you have other risk factors like high cholesterol, diabetes, family history of heart disease or high blood pressure. Your doctor should see whether you have any of these risk factors. If you have, then you will be given proper medications. I hope everything will be all right. Bye!
