Hello, I need some help with my doubts. I am pregnant for three months now and I have been thinking about my child’s health. My husband suffers from allergic asthma and I am afraid that the baby will be in a great risk of getting affected by that condition. How important is genetic predisposition for allergic asthma?

You should be aware that there really is a great chance your child will be in the danger of getting affected by allergic asthma. Most probably, he will have a so called atopic constitution, one that can easily subdue to allergies. But this does not have to be the case, if the proper precautions are taken. But still, he will most definitely have some problems with allergy.
