ok so i see many post on here where people are overly worried. to confirm a few things chlamydia is curable. zithromax takes 1 to 2 weeks to cure it. rarely but sometimes symptoms reoccur . in the case you visit your doctor or care clinic again. chlamydia or ngu is a bacteria that can be transmitted oral, anal, or vaginal intercourse. this is the most common std outside of gonorrhea. if u find out at anytime you have any std stop having sex till treatment an after treatment refrain from intercourse till cured .. an to the post of the one girl who had sex with one guy then gave other guys head after that i just want to say that is a perfect example of how it is spread.now on dosage your weight an size will pend the amount. some will recieve one to two grams or for someone of my size 4 grams. it is one time treatment with zithromax. will symptoms go away go an get checked to make sure the infection is gone before having any form of intercourse with your partner/'s
YOu girls need to understand that just because you caught chlamydia it does not mean that they guy was cheating.
We can catch it by a lot of innocent ways.
For example.....when a guy goes into a men's public washroom and he is using the urinal sometimes while we are shaking our penis it can inadvertently hit the side of the urinal. If someone else was having a pee before us, they could have contaminated the urinal.
Plus you girls, if you use a dirty toilet seat, or sit on a dirty bus seat, that can give it to you as well.
The best prevention from catching a std for a girl is to just give a guy oral all the time and get very good at it. Practice...practice ...practice.
Plus I also had a friend tell me that if a girl has anal sex with a guy, it is harder for her to catch any sexual transmitted diseases due to the bacteria in there protecting its turf. Plus she wont have to worry about getting pregnant.
This is not true... u can get any STD especially chlamydia through oral and anal sex... the bacteria has the ability to live n grow in your throat or anal cavities .... just obstain from any type of sexual contact until ur re-tested with a negative result.... make sure to let all sexual partners within the last 2-3 months so they know that they need to be treated as well...if not they may re-infect you or some other unsuspecting person as not everyone shows signs or has symptoms...bottom line is abstain from all sex acts until your free of infection

Everyone is talking about there own experience, but not answering the question
It takes Zithromax 1-2 weeks to clear Chlamydia. (it took mine exactly two weeks). You usually take 4 pills 250mg each all at the same time. You will have pretty bad diarreaha, or a somewhat upset stomach but eating food before will help. Make sure you are at home for the night and not at work. Antibiotics work by killing the bacteria that causes Chlamydia, BUT it also kills "good bacteria" in your body that helps you digest food, hence the diarreaha. After that for the week(s) to come your immune system attacks that rest of the bacteria and finishes it off, this takes awhile.
I had very small amounts of clear discharge, off an on, very mild pain during urination, and an somewhat itchy uretha. I had symptoms for exactly 2 weeks after taking the medicine, but on day 14 low and behold I was they were gone, so don't freak out if the symptoms don't go right away. I also had an itchy anus that started about a week after taking the Zithromax, probably due to diareeha but that also went away on it's own.
I got Chlamydia once before in the past and had white discharge and burning urination and was given a weeks worth of doxycyline, 2 pills per day. This cured Chlamydia within a week, but the side effects of doxycline are upset stomach and dizziness, so ask your doc to give you Zithromax instead.
Don't get freaked out just see your doctor, or if you are in college goto the college medical center and you can sometimes be seen and treated for free. Most times for Males (in my case both times) the doc askes about symptoms: if you say discharge, painful urination, or itchness...they grab their pad and write up a prescription without any test or inspection, because its so common. It takes all of 10-15 minutes to get your prescription.
Get checked out, get your pills, get cured, repent if you made mistakes, and move on with your life. It's a lesson learned, maybe a bit embarrasing, but more people have been in your shoes than willing to admit.
