I had left labiaplasty one month ago, and am wondering how long it takes for it to return to looking "normal"? I honestly regret having this done...or at least not waiting until I had the funds to have it done properly by a cosmetic surgeon. I live in Canada and was able to have the surgery covered by health care, because my labia were very asymmetrical and the left side caused me a lot of discomfort. But now it looks very different than the right side, the right side is smooth and round whereas the left side looks scalloped and straight. It's horrible...now I may have to save up and have it fixed eventually anyway, which means more weeks of painful recovery and no sex, which I'm sure my boyfriend is just going to love!

Hey. I live in Toronto and am getting this done but was told there is no way it's covered by OHIP as there is no billing for it. How did you get it covered?

Your labia was normal before the labiaplasty, our body's are not symmetrical, for example when I buy a pair of shoes I always try on the left one because that is the biggest foot and many women have different size breasts.

I paid cash for mine and found an excellent plastic surgeon with great online reviews. I researched the hell out of him and had surgery years ago and am very pleased. Get a good doctor and you'll look presentaable in a few weeks but they say wait 6 weeks before sex. Good luck!
