Hi, I have just returned from a doctor where I was diagnosed with bronchitis. Luckily, it is in a starting phase, so the situation is not that bad. But I have seen several people there that have been diagnosed with Byssinosis and it looked like they all work in the same firm. How often people get sick from Byssinosis?

Well, it is an occupational lung disease so I suppose that mostly people with certain professions can get affected by it. That means it's not unusual for several people in the same firm (and we talk about factories where cotton dust is present) to suffer from it. It is not such a mild condition and if it left untreated, it can even lead to the fatal outcome. But since the diagnose was established, they should be fine now.
