Hoarse voice started two years ago. getting progressively worse and more frequently. Post-nasal drip and runny nose. (Zyrtec and nasal drops have no effect). I Have seen physicians, no cancer. I was told not to clear my throat but that's the only way I have a voice. Where to from here?

Hi, guest.
Hoarseness that lasts for two years is usually caused by an underlying medical condition. It is important to see a doctor to determine the cause. Depending on the diagnosis, treatment may include speech therapy, voice therapy, medications, or in some cases, surgery.
Additionally, avoiding irritants such as smoking and speaking loudly can help reduce strain on the vocal cords, which may help improve the hoarseness.
Have you tried any speech/voice therapy in the meantime?
