Hello, I am in day 18 after hemorrhoidectomy and my main problems is that I have several big bumps or skin edemas surrounding the anus. Every time I sit , I have pain in that external area, and feels like is never going to drecrease the pain and size , because I feel more swollen after sitting. But I already went back to work and need to sit down. My doctor recommends a cotton in the area for protection, but besides helping with the liquids dropping, it puts more pressure on my wounds, so I think is bad for reduce the swelling amd pain.

Anybody that experienced this bumps can help me with the best way to deal with this and be able to sit yet not put pressure on the wounds and skin scars?

Thanks!

Hello, I seem to have the same issue. I'm only day 11 post surgery, and I know the post is over 9 months ago, but have you seen any improvements? Any strategies that were effective? I try to keep any and all pressure from area so if I have to I use a doughnut to sit on, but mostly lay on belly or sides. I also use witch hazel soaked gauze or Prep H gauze, seems to be shrinking very slowly.
