Reminds me of my mother's case... she bled heavy for months too many years back. Her belly slightly protruded that made us thought she was pregnant. After seeing a doctor who told her it was ovarian tumor, she went through surgery and she was doing perfectly fine since. No more periods though as her entire ovary had to be removed so it was an earlier menopausal case for her.
I don't get it...if one doctor said it was ovarian cyst, and another doctor said it was hormonal issue, what were the test they did on you to say so? Did you go see an obstetrician/gynecologist? Perhaps you do have reliable sources from friends on who (best doctor) to see too. It must be frustrating that those doctors could not exactly tell you what is the problem but don't give up on trying to find out ...it is your body, your health that might be at risk. There wasn't a good doctor where we used to live too but she and my father had to travel farther to see an Obstetrician....that's when she was told she had ovarian tumor. Yours doesn't have to be the same case but I believe there must is someone out there ( a good and proper doctor to check such case and monthly period as we both know means "reproductive case") that can deliver you the right prognosis. May God provide you one...and perhaps you need to ask for it ;-)
