I had my jaw operated on April 4th. I still can't open wide. The surgery went well except the medal plates and screws had to come out due to infection. I stretch my mouth all the time but it's still not open like it should. I can only put two fingers between my teeth. Does it take longer for some people to be back to normal or will it always be limited.?

I too have been facing this problem for the party one and a half years. My right jaw doesn't open and initially the problem would come and then go the next day. This happened for one or two months untill it became permanent. I've kind of gotten used to it but I would advise the people to go to a dentist as soon as they experience this so that it doesn't become permanent.

What does it mean when I can not open my mouth? It feels like locked jaw in the upper left. I recently was sick, lost my voice, etc. What could be the problem? Please help, it hurts and is kind of scary.
