If nothing else, it is consoling to see so many with a similar mysterious struggle.I have the occasional odd chest pain, minor regurgitation 1-2 hours after eating, and occasionally an acid taste in my mouth. It doesn't appear to be all foods, but some of the key triggers are:Milk - probably the worst, I don't think it even gets into my stomach
Most breads - oat-based and corn-based seem to be safer
Raw Vegetables - anything more than a small amount is unpleasant, many berries (and apples... weird) are big offenders too
Nuts - Almonds, Walnuts (always have the chest pain with these), pecans are worst. Peanuts and Pistachios are tolerable, but trigger if I eat enough
Fatty meats - pork chops are deadly, beef is usually pretty bad. I go for fish and leaner meats when I can
Any combination of highly acidic foods - there seems to be some tolerance level before a combination of things causes the symptoms.
Green Tea causes nausea on an empty stomach, but coffee almost always helps.
In short, I take mental note of something that triggers and try to avoid it. Usually I can swallow it down a few times and it stops, but the more grievous offenders require actually spitting it out to make it stop.
ALTOGETHER, it seems like the only thing these have in common is the toughness of their composition. Things with complex proteins and fats or things made of un-softened plant roughage... I think most of our problems have to do with weak digestion. I have a rapid metabolism, but I think my stomach's enzymes (and/or acid?) has trouble breaking down these complicated foods. Yet, when you look at all how my stomach rejects anything terribly acidic (sugars, fruits), it makes me wonder. Its like there is this very tiny range of acidity where my stomach is happy but complex foods or acidic foods force that acid level too high or low and I face a freaking rebellion...
Also, has anyone had the experience of drinking water first thing in the morning only to have their esophagus burn intensely for just a moment? Its rare, but it happens sometimes to me.

Been to a couple of doctors. First suspected acid reflux, but that doesn't make sense because its too often. The second said to just avoid foods that caused it. Not much help to me, probably not for you either.

GASTROPARESIS. boom. I have been reading this post for a month, keep going back to it to try and figure out why I vomit after I eat. I finally got so sick I was in the hospital. I am a healthy 23 year old female. No diabetes. Cancer survivor, but that was a looonnng time ago. Doc said I might of got it from a virus. Probably what you have! That or your gallbladder.
