This could be Gastroparesis, which throwing up within one to two hours after eating is common. Definitely be checked by a doctor ASAP. Our daughter was vaccine injured, but her gastrointestinal issues were ignored for over four years by doctors - finally found someone worth going to. She was scoped and Gastroparesis was found. She now uses a great many enzymes to help her damaged vagus nerve digest food in her stomach. Don't wait, get checked!

I was surprised to see so many people going through the same thing as me. Honestly I was starting to think I was crazy. I am a 19 year old female and I have been going through this for the past 2 years. At first it was once a week, but for the past 6 months I have thrown up after I eat or even drink water. Last month I went to the the ER because I was so dehydrated I was shaking. They told me my Gallbladder wasn't functioning and sent me into surgery a couple days later. I was optimistic that it would help but it hasn't. I still throw up when I eat. Half the time I can't even finish my meal before running to the bathroom. I even throw up Jello! It has effected my job and my life. I am about to start college soon and I have no clue how I am going to continue to live like this. Half the time I don't feel like living. I am so tired of being sick all the time. My friends look at me like I have an eating disorder, and doctors tell me its just in my head, but I know there is something wrong with me. I'm afraid that if this goes on my problems may become more serious. And from what I read on here I'm not very optimistic on finding a diagnosis. If anyone figures it out, please let me know! I'm desperate!

My daughter has been experiencing this for two months now. After the first week she was admitted to the hospital and they ran some test. After some test they discovered her gall bladder was not working so they removed it. She has now been out of the hospital for 6 weeks and contiues to vomit after she eats. No matter how small or large or what it is she eats she vomits. Sometimes even liquids will not stay down. She is 14 and has lost over 20 pounds in two months. I am so worried about her and the doctors are sending her to an eating disorder clinic. However, I do not believe that is the problem. At this point though I am willing to do whatever it takes to get her better. She was an extremely healthy active 14 year old and this has turned her life upside down. I am considering taking her to the Cleveland Clinic to see what they can figure out. There is comfort knowing there are others having the same issue but it is saddening to know that no one seems to have the answers and all are still suffering and just accepting this as their way of life.

Its called Achalasia. Xanax is used to treat the spasms, which my mother says feel like a heart attack. My mother has had this for 10 years and she now has to sleep sitting up or the food in the esophagus will go in her lungs. She forces her food down with huge glasses of warm water. The only permanent treatment is an esophageal transplant.

I have had this problem since I was born. At first they thought I was just a fussy baby, but it continued until I was way too old for diapers. I've been to many doctors over the years. I get x-rays on my stomach every 5 years, and in 28 years they still haven't improved on the flavor of 'barium'. I've had endoscopies, I've been tested for ulcers, I've been checked for tumors, and every thing in between. I had my gall bladder removed at one doctor's suggestion and that did nothing. I've tried various elimination diets over the years, various exercises, massage techniques, you name it. I can't even work out and sip water without vomiting the water up by the end of the workout session. One doctor finally decided this was purely psychological and I went to see a therapist who believed my emotions were in tune with my body. This therapist said it was purely physical and my emotions seemed fine and sent me back to a doctor. I've pretty much given up at this point and I've decided to start investing my money into a dentist, as this problem has done horrible things to my teeth. If anyone else has suggestions I'd love to hear them, but I don't foresee anything fixing this problem.
