im just writing this to help ease the anxiety of getting kidney stone surgery. I had a ureterscopy surgery a week ago for a 7mm stone.I read so many horror stories of how painful it was for some people I freaked myself out. Just from my experience the pain after surgery isn’t fun to experience but wasn’t nearly as bad as I feared. I did have pain on my side and lower abdomen but the oxycodone I was prescribed worked really well and also when I went pee it burned (dr prescribed med for that too) and felt like someone was squeezing my kidney but subsided after lying down for a bit. I also removed the stent by myself and it wasn’t very painful like iv read about just a quick pain in my side. I hope this helps somebody to feel more at ease about surgery. Forgive my writing skills for having no punctuations.
