Hi there, I just wanted to post on here my positive experience of my stent removal. The night before I didn't sleep, due to the horrible pain I had been in for 3 months prior to removal of stent, and also the anxiety I was feeling about having my stent removed in my drs surgery. I had a string, and after reading all the horror stories on the Internet, my mind was not at ease!! Basically, I won't blab on about my illness, I just want to help anyone out there that is freaking out like I was. Anyone who is at the end of their wits, exhausted from being in  pain due to stents. Anyone who is feeling anxious about stent removal, and just feel like they can't take anymore. Trust me, we have all been right where you are right now, and because of that, I'd like to say that the removal was honestly over in 2 seconds. It was like a bikini wax, quick, weird and such a relief!!! About an hour later, I had cramps in my kidney, but nothing compared to what I had been through pain wise recently. I took some nurofen, grabbed my hot water bottle and prepared for battle. Well, that's as bad as it got. My advice to you is, be kind to yourself, grab one of your favourite DVDs, allow yourself the time to recover, take it easy, it's honestly a walk in the park Compared to stone pain or stent pain. I really hope this post will help someone out there, that, like me, is Trying to find any information to hopefully help you through. To all you fellow sufferers out there, I'm so sorry to read the horror some of you have been through. Stay strong, everything comes to an end, hang in there!!!!!
