About 2 weeks ago I had a very large poop, easily the biggest of my life. The next day when I went to the toilet it kinda hurt and there was blood on the paper. I have read up all of these possibilities of cancer and hemmeriods etc. I'm extremely self conscious, still haven't even told my parents about this yet because I didn't think it was a big deal until now. If I told my mother she would Immediately take me to the doctors because her cousin bled when he pooped and he didn't tell anyone and he eventually died of colon cancer. Going to the doctors is really something which I'm really really scared of. I'm begging someone who has been through what I have to tell me what they did and what the doctor said. Please help me!

Dear Guest,

You failed to disclose your age but you sound like a fairly young person. I wouldn't worry much at all. Sometimes when i go and it's a "larger" than usual specimen, i bleed too. If i am constipated and go large, i will spot blood a little. You are actually tearing the little blood vessels in and around your anus, there fore you will see blood after poopin.

Don't be afraid to see your doctor either.

If this continues, i would certainly say something, but if you haven't seen anything since the first time, i would just watch it. Of course make sure your diet is regulated. Drink a lot of water cuz this will keep everything ina slippery and slidin condition, making poopin easier and softer. Avoid food that may bind you like a lot of cheese. Eat your veggies and fruits, this keeps you balanced and it helps make your bm time much easier.

Don't read into medical stuff so intently either. A simple hang nail could turn into an amputation. Medical sites are wonderful and they have helped me with several situations, but don't dig to deep, you can scare yourself to death and before you know it, you have every ailment under the sun.
