I have the same thing and it has been diagnosed as a vestibular disorder and I am undergoing physical therapy to retrain my brain to adjust for conflicting signals coming from my ear balance canals. My initial reaction to these symptoms was one of anxiety and panic, but once I learned more about it I can control the panic, but I do get so tired of it. It takes a specialist to correctly diagnose...an audiologist with special training and the physical therapist needs to be certified in Vestibular Rehabilitation. Even though I am doing physical therapy, I am so tired of being dizzy and sometimes wish there was just a pill I could take to make it go away. Progress is slow, but I can do things now that I couldn't when I started therapy a couple of weeks ago. jcPT consists of some eye exercises and balance exercises that I do with the therapist and others that I do at home. Good luck. I have to go do some exercises.

To all.... I feel the same and also been to every doctor you can name. I have a tilt test in two weeks and if that's negative I am going to a mayo clinic to see if those geniuses can diagnose me. Basically I am handicapped and go to work as if I am in a war with multiple guns wounds. I am constantly lightheaded and get this hot flashes weekly that I feel like I'm about to die. My has been around for 4 mo tha now and going. I'm coping and getting used to living with it but I do not smile much anymore and I am the only miserable person in public. Seeing people laughing an having a good time is only a wish for me

I know it's easier said than done, but you need to control yourself and stop thinking about it. I had the same problem. It's still not completely gone, but now it only happens to me when i think about it.
Your mind is a powerful tool and it can make you feel multiple things. Anxiety is more than probably the cause for your problem. It was the cause for my dizziness. As soon as I consulted a psychologist and talked to her about it, that's what she told me and ever since then, i've been getting better everyday.

Try meditating. You need to change your thoughts for something else and try to be positive.

Good luck

First of get your blood pressure checked,if not that get your ears check if the mechanisms that help you maintain balance are off slightly you can suffer from vertigo, if that's not it (now I'm serious about this) go to a therapist and talk about what it is in your past that's causing your repressive anxiety, these memories will manifest into all sorts of things. Last but not least start getting massages this will help release dopamine which can effect cognitive abilities. I'm not a doctor I come from the experience of being a massage therapist and from suffering from chronic anxiety and debilitating PTSD. Good luck.:)

Have you had any head or neck injuries? There is a condition called Cervicogenic Vertigo (not a true vertigo) that is caused by the afferents in the neck that produce the same thing you seem to be experiencing. I know i have the same conditions and most all doctors do NOT know about it including Neurologists. Most Neurologist do not even know there are nerves that go UP into the head. They are the greater and lesser Occipital nerves and some others. They believe that ALL nerves go down into the shoulder and lower in the body. At lease that has been seeing several Neurologist, ENT and other doctors.

The afferents in the neck along with the nerves from the inner ear help keeps the eyes tracking properly when the head is turned. Diagnosing Cervicogenic Vertigo IS very difficult because it does NOT necessarily produce Nystagmus even when the head in place and the body is turned. Like YOU sitting on a stool that will turn and the doctor holding your head still so it will not move the someone turn your body on the stool so your head is held in place keeping the inner ear from sending any signals to the brain that the head i moving in relation to the pull of gravity and the point of turn in is at C2 the Axis cervical vertebrae. That means that only the signals from the afferents in the neck in that area are sending signals to the brain that the head is moving (when in reality the head is NOT moving) that MIGHT cause nystagmus since there are NO signals from the ear and only the signals from the afferents going to the brain which makes the brain go to of balance causing the eyes to compensate for movement but does not have the correct information. For a person that does NOT have that problem they do not get dizzy at all and have no problems but those like you an i we get that swaying staggering out of balance sensations and possibly nystagmus.

Stay away from chiropractors and physical therapists they can make it worse.

Also do you have any neck pain, head(aches), arthritis in the neck or any even a slight problem with the neck especially the upper area? Do you feel any pressure in your neck when you look up or down?
Turning your head left or right?

It will be difficult but if you can find a doctor that knows about that condition let me know i want to see that doctor.

Good Morning, you you considered asking your doctor to check something as simple as your equalibrium? It seems as it can possibly be that. Nevertheless, I will say this. Heavenly Father, you know your child is suffering from these dizzy spells, Lord in faith I pray and believe you can heal them. You healed the woman with the issue of blood. You have the power to heal. Thank you for healing them in Jesus name. Amen

GOOD MORNING, I was thinking about your health issues, have you had your equalibrium checked, it's a simple exam. Nevertheless, what can heal you from this is a simple thing. Faith and prayer. I will ask on your behalf. Father in Heaven, I pray on behalf of all the people on this blog that suffer from this dizzyness, Lord lay your healing hand use my words of faith in you to have this feeling cease. Your power and might is greater than any doctor. You said if we ask and believe you said if 3 or more are gathered and touched and agree so as we pray here we are in agreement God. Thank you in advance for this amazing testimony you will have on the persons believing and receiving this, in Jesus name I pray. Amen

I'm in the same boat, I can't afford to seek medical attention, it scares me to drive. I'm constantly dizzy, I'm scared that I'm going to become so dizzy , that I pass out driving and kill someone or myself. I have been having this for about a year now. I'm going to keep searching. Also I have occasional ringing in my ears, and it feels like my ears are clogged, or like water is in them.

All of these stories sound like mine Vestibular Neuritus. I had a VNG done that showed 40 percent weakness in my left ear. Let's just say it's been 1 year of dizzy, headaches, pressure, fatigue, neck aches, eye pressure. And I have been to over 14 drs, MRI, CT scans, blood work about a novel in lenghth, lumber puncture, x-ray neck, chest and back, heart doctor, stress test, about 12 ekgs I can keep going? All they found was weakness in my ear. Vestibular disorders are not fun and no cure. Was told 2-5 years is not uncommon for recovery. Hang in there all!!!
