This has happened to me on and off for about 15 years. Today it started while I wad sitting at my desk, and I was as if remembering a dream, then I felt faint and put my head between my knees, next thing I knew I was on the floor, coming to from a faint. My secretary called 911 and I spent the morning in the hospital. Had EKG, chest x ray, CAT scan, blood work, and no answers. I'm following up with my doc later this week. But all they know is I fainted while sitting and they don't know why.

I have experienced similar episodes. I pretty much get deja vu and all of a sudden I’m incapable of understanding anything. For me, it all started when I was around 18 and I was smoking a lot of weed. It never happened when I was actually high though. I feel like it was a side effect from all the smoking, so I stopped smoking weed and now I never have those seizures anymore.

Um. This is like me. It's very odd. My doctor said that it's a type of migraine and is from lack of blood flow to the head. This happens because of your C1 and C2 bones out of place, (for me at least), and blood flow not getting to head as best, and brain tries to perceive it as best as can. I have other ideas for what this is, but I feel like I'm on the verge of predicting the future when they happen. I also get dis lexis when it happens. Next time try to notic these things. Try to find small irregularities in your neck and tell your doctor about these next time you have them. They are triggered like 1-2 times a month for me and can happen in bunches, after they happen once. (Followed by more). My doctor is an ex-chiropractor and when I told him this he popped a bone in my neck, and they got better, but certain neck movements popped it back. Soon he will pop it back again it will have a higher chance of staying. I know all of this sounds crazy but believe me. I have had these for over 1-2 years.

Hi.47 yr old male.
I've been having these episodes for the past ten years.
The first time it happened I had a massive sense of doom along with the de ja vu feeling and it freaked me out a little.
I don't pass out and it only lasts ten or so seconds.
This used to happen about once every few months but in the past couple of years it's been getting more frequent. I've had half a dozen or more in one day!
Weird thing is though I say to myself the next time I have one I'll write down the de ja vu bit.
But I just can't remember it!
My memory does suffer short term only .I can remember childhood things vividly.
Anyways I have been diagnosed with simple partial seizures although mri and eeg showed nothing.
I have tried to see what brings mine on and late nights seem to be my only trigger.
Your not alone in this. Good luck

Hey,I'm a 20 year old student and I've been having these weird dejavu for a few years now.For me,the only time it happens is whenever I lay down in a hot bath. And it's always the same, like my body is trying to adapt to the temperature of the water and at the same time I start to focus on one certain place and after ~15s later, this vision of me having a bath as a 2 year old in the old apartament with my parents comes up, and after that just sequence of events come up in my head(every time it's the same order of events) but they have never happened to me in real life and after 30 seconds of those flashy episodes,I can't remember a thing,I witnessed in my head and I get a bit dizzy along with a strange feeling in my stomach, like I'm about to throw up.It's quite scary to be honest, but Interesting, what triggers them.

I am a 31 year old female, and I have been experiencing these episodes since I was a child! It starts as an extreme deja vu feeling, and it almost feels pleasant at first like you want it to happen. The deja vu goes on for about 30 seconds, and it is followed by extreme nausea, weird smells and stomach cramps. Now I am starting to get them in my sleep and they wake me up. I feel like I got them the most when I have anxiety or I'm worried about something. Also, they come in clusters. Bizarre because you feel like you do not have control of your own thoughts.

Pete. Thank you SO much, you have explained things just as they happen to me. Thought I was going a bit mad. Still no answers. I'm sure my Docs around her will say, " it's stress, gastric upset, or something of the sort.
Good luck

This sensation came on me a few years ago and when other symptoms drove me to the doctor, it turned out to be a brain tumor in my temporal region. I would suggest seeing a doctor and having a CT scan or MRI to rule out a tumor or confirm so they can take care of it. Since the removal of the tumor, I have not had any more episodes.

i suffered from these 4 years ago. Strange Deja Vu that you can't recollect or describe. Feel very hot and like you are going to pass out but don't. they last for about 20 seconds and then they are gone. You are more likely to have these in the morning than at night and more likely after a night out drinking alcohol. They are Petit Mal seizures which is a form of epilepsy and I have been on Sodium Valproate tablets ever since. Had MRI, EEG, ECG and blood tests first and they came back all clear as far as Brain Tumours were concerned.

See a doctor and mention the symptoms and that you think they may be Petit Mal seizures as some doctores will have no idea what you are talking about based on the difficulty of explaining exactly what happens. I felt odd and stupid for a long time until I googled it and found so many others who had the same symptoms - good luck

Experiencing almost the exact same thing. I also feel like crying after. I get very dizzy afterward and then can't really remember any of the things that I was having super intense deja vu over. Super stressed. It's happened a few times before in my life but now I am pregnant. :(

I know this was from a year ago, but am at a loss. I have these frequently and have seen a neurologist but they can't find anything. What test did you have to figure out its a seizure in the temporal lobe? I've had regular MRI's and they came back normal. I need help! This is effecting my job!!
