Am trying to get pregnate and now have no cervical mucus during ovulation. I also took hormones for ovulation a few months back. Is it more difficult to become pregnate after a conization??My gyn said no, but I have the feeling he may not be all that informed.
What will help?
Thanks

I had this done when I was 19 years old. It was just going to be a small amount of tissue taken, but once in the surgery the doctor found a large amount of cells that needed to be removed. I was at the stage right before cancer. Almost my entire cervix was covered and other areas as well. I am happy to say that I have two boys and a third child on the way. Plus, I have a tipped uterus.
My sister had a different procedure done for the same problem. She ended up having to get it done three more times. Her doctor was afraid that if she continued on this path that she would not be able to carry a baby do to a weak cervix. The fifth time she was diagnos, she asked for the Laser Cone. After that she never had Dysplasia again. She did get pregnant and was able to carry to full term.
If you are having problems getting pregnant you should speak to your OBGYN and if still no luck -- see a specialist.
I wish you the best of luck!

PREGNANCY does not depend on your cervix, it depends on your egg meeting his sperm.
There are women with LITTLE cervix left, that easily have 2-3 children.
You should use an ovulation predictor kit, because it is obvious that your fertility signs may be 'skewed' by the conization.
