not that i know of. you ovulate before you have a period. a unfertilized egg causes your uterus to shed it's old lining. normally a woman ovulates two days before she starts her period. some women only ovulate for a couple hours. two of the main things to look for of ovulating is a slight increase in temperature about 2 or 3 degrees, and tiredness or energy loss.

Ovulation occurs when a mature egg is released from the ovary, pushed down the fallopian tube, and is available to be fertilized. The lining of the uterus has thickened to prepare for a fertilized egg. If conception does not occurs, the uterine lining will be shed. The shedding of an unfertilized egg and the uterine wall is the time of menstruation.Ovulation can take place about 2 weeks or so before her next period, this however may vary in women due to the fact that it is hard to predict, each body is different some may release and egg sooner or later in ones cycle

About a fifth of all women experience lower abdominal pain, when ovulation occurs. Breast tenderness or discomfort is also common. Most women have a vaginal discharge that is clear and somewhat elastic (try stretching it between two fingers) in the days leading up to ovulation. Ovulation predictor kits detect the LH surge that precedes release of the egg, can be used as a marker for ovulation.

Ovulatation happens alot sooner than just 2 days before your period and can last anywhere from 24 to 48 hours...It has to have time to be fertilized, travel down your falopian tubes for implantation to occure, implantation take anywhere from 6 to 10 days after the egg has been fertilized....Knowledge is power...Wish You lots of Luck~!~
