I'm 17 and I've been seeing this guy for a few months, and I told him that I'm not ready to have sex yet because I was afraid of getting pregnant. Then he told me he was okay with it but he also said that he couldn't get me pregnant even if he tried. When I asked him what he meant by that he wouldn't answer me. Then a few months later we were talking and he asked me if he could tell me a secret. He told me that he had been molested when he was young and couldn't get girls pregnant because of it.
Now even though I would really hope he wouldn't lie to me about something so serious as that, it just doesn't make sense to me. I don't understand how that could happen.
So does anyone believe that? Is it possible? Or am I right to think it's a lie and he's just been trying to get me to have sex with him?

While it's horrible - there is no way that molestation of a boy can cause him to be sterile. It would be no different from masturbation or sex causing infertility....it doesn't work that way.
