My father has been having some eyesight problems and after a visit to ophthalmologist, he was told that recurring corneal erosion has happened and that he should be undergoing a PTK procedure, as soon as possible. Is that procedure really the only solution for the condition he suffers from? Isn’t there any other possibility?

Well, if a PRK procedure has been recommended, that it means that corneal erosion has really progressed far. The Procedure itself is not that complex, but the post op period might be strenuous a bit, because it requires a patient to face down as much as possible. For now, let’s just focus on the operation and see the results.
