I have been having some really odd symptoms while on birth control. I have been on the pill for about a year now, and never had any issues with it. I have been having sex without condoms with the guy I'm dating for about 3 months now and have been consistent with my pill. Until about 3 weeks ago when my prescription ended, There was about a week and a half break there with no pill AND unprotected sex. Well now I am having dark spotting even though I'm on the pill, not to mention crazy cramps, backaches, headaches, and my stomach is constantly flopping around for the past 20 hours. Also, when I went to the restroom I wiped and had a thick, bloody membrane thing and my stomach still hurts but the bleeding has lessened. Today I took a pregnancy test and it read negative. Is there a chance that I'm still pregnant or ever was? Or perhaps a miscarriage?
*Oh, I also missed two pills this last week (Tuesday and Wednesday) and took two on Thursday to catch up a bit. Maybe it's just the pill?

Hello, yeah i too think its just a pill. It is very unlikely for you to get pregnant while on birth control. regardless of the fact that you missed a couple. Chances are very slim that you got pregnant. I mean, it takes some time time for your body to adjust to the pill so it will take some time for your body to get back to normal after you stop taking them. You should be fine if you took HP test, they are 95% accurate. I think that symptoms that you are having are related to your on and off the birth control. Those pills are hormones and it is normal for your body to react that way if you mess with how much you take. Make sure that from now you dont miss taking your pills and i think everything will go back to normal. Hope this helps.
