Hi, I am 54 years old and I am suffering from diabetes. Even though I have taken all the precautions, I have cataract on both eyes. The vision is now very poor and I know that something must be done. Still I am not thrilled at all with the possibility of operation so I would like to know is there a way to remove cataract without having to undergo surgery?

Cataract caused by diabetes and its growth process might be subdued by controlling diabetes. But since diabetes is a progressive condition, this method might not work at all. Statistically, people with diabetes get cataract three times more than people that don’t have diabetes. You can postpone the operation for a while, but in the end, it is inevitable.
