Hello, I have to say that I am getting more and more worried about my father’s condition. He will have to go for the open heart surgery and if that is not enough, we were told to check what oxygen device will be used because there are some that should be avoided. So, is Vapotherm 2001i oxygen FDA approved?

If it is possible, try to use some other device simply because, this one was not approved couple of years ago, because of some substances found in gases that might have caused problems for some patients, especially those that have problems with immune system. Supposedly, the problem is removed now but I guess it is up to you to decide if this Vapotherm will be used in your father’s operation.
