I tried with diet pills, didn’t helped me. Few days ago I have heard someone use laxatives to diet. I want to know if this really helps. I will immediately buy some just if I know that would help me. And off course, could it be unhealthy or dangerous?

There are some diet pills and weight loss supplements or diet products that contain laxatives. They are not effective and healthy and they cannot help you lose weight. Laxatives stimulate digestive system and can cause severe diarrhea. That prevents proper absorption of food and leads to dehydratation due to water loss. Also laxatives could lead to vitamin and mineral deficiencies, which may have bad effects on health. People, who take strong laxatives for long periods, lose ability to produce normal stools. It can cause bloating, cramping, dehydration, electrolyte disturbances and imbalances, cardiac arrhythmias and irregular heart beat. That might lead to heart attack, renal problems and death. Laxatives also may cause withdrawal symptoms. According to one study, girl who used laxatives with extreme weight loss program were more likely to gain weight. Laxatives could, together with dieting and appetite suppressant use to lose weight becoming obese, that’s what the study showed.
