My left kidney was removed by microscopic surgery in January of this year. I immediately developed sever pain in my left side (waist area) after surgery, which was more painful than the four incision sites. My Dr. very nonchalantly told me it was denervation of the muscle, and that it would never get better.Because of the bulge I've had to totally re-think the way I dress... no more jeans or anything with a waist band. Some days the pain is enough to cause depression. My Dr. said plastic surgery MIGHT help. But after researching the problem I've learned that this procedure rarely succeeds in helping the problem. Just seems there is not enough research on this problem and those of us that suffer are on our own.
