Hi,
I am now on my fourth cycle of Bcp's. in the first three cycles I noticed no change in the withdrawal bleeds to my normal periods, they were still quite heavy. but this one is lighter, still enough to soak a tampon after 6 hours, but not a lot is really coming onto the pads, (although I bought really absorbant pads this month, maybe the blood isnt showing up as well) also the cramping was so much worse than usual, (cramping has got worse since i began taking the pills anyway)
I've never had unprotected sex. But about three months ago I did have a small accident, he put the condom on, put it inside me and it snapped straight away, in shock he immediately withdrew, so there was no semen in there, and before you say "precum", he had happened to have gone to the toilet since the last time he came, the urine would have flushed away the residue sperm inside his urethra, so the precum would have been just the fluid from the cowpers glands. Also, this happened on the 6th day of a 32 day cycle so i was almost two weeks away from when i was going to ovulate anyway. also, since that happened I havent missed a period, all have been spot on time and regular in flow.
so basically, I am seriously doubting pregnancy could have possibly occured, I've taken two tests since this happened, both were negative, and i took them both well after I had had my period.
Im thinking the lighter flow is atrophic changes in the pills? this is quite common apparently. can someone put me at ease? I've been hearing about people "taking multiple tests while pregnant and all are negative" but I am guessing they couldnt have taken the tests properly seeing as they are 99% accurate.... I havent had any symptoms like changes in urination frequency, nausea, dizziness or breast tenderness... and i think the fact ive had four periods since this happened would rule out a pregnancy?
someone calm me down! As youve guessed I am pretty clued up about sex and contraception, im just a worrier!
