I had unprotected sex Saturday night (2/2), but he didn't ejaculate...he wasn't in me long enough to. I know that precum can contain sperm; we just made a mistake in the moment not using a condom. Now, 4 days later (2/6) I have cramps like I'm going to get my period. My last period started on January 14th, so I think it should come withing the next week. My questions are:

1) At conception, can there be cramping due to the embryo implanting itself in the endometrium?

2) Does this just sound like I'm going to get my period soon?

2) If my period doesn't come within the next week, when can I take a pregnancy test?

implantation happens about ten days after conception. if you get a pregnancy test like first response, you can probley take a pregnancy test in the next week. first response is the most sensitive test you can buy right now.

There is not alot of research about cowpers fluid ("precum"). The research that has been done determined that there is a limited amount of sperm and it is highly unlikely to get pregnant from that alone.

Obviously if you are having sex soon after the male masturbated there are more sperm in the ducts and the chance of pregnancy would be slightly raised.

However, the chances of transmitting a sexual disease remain the SAME as if you had a complete sexual encounter.

He hadn't ejaculated in the 4 or so hours that I had been with him before we were together (that I know of...he could have snuck off the bathroom I suppose haha)

Thanks for the info about the cowpers fluid research. I feel a little better now. I bought a few First Response tests and I'll take them within the next week if I don't get my period (which I feel like I will because of some cramps and gas that I usually get before it).

So I just took a First Response test and it was NEGATIVE! It could still be too early, but I'll take another if I don't get my period within the next week like I'm supposed to. The test is supposed to be 86% accurate at this point.

I GOT MY PERIOD! HOORAY! I guess yesterday was early enough to take the First Response test because today I would have missed my period.
