I started with Lisinopril while I was in the States. I have now been taking a dose 5mg 2x a day for about a week. I started but to feel side effects. There is occasional cough at night but not a bother, rather more concerned with breathlessness and a little lightheadedness too. Has this been a problem for others users of Lisinopril? I’ll appreciate any comment about this.

I took 5mg lisinopril for a month. I developed hoarseness in my voice few days after and in within a week I started coughing. When I would go to bed I had seasonal allergies. It was so naturally so I assumed that to be the cause. But, by the end of one week, I was coughing all day, a dry cough that I could not stop. Then a wheezing started and bubbling feeling in my chest. Finally the 3rd week, I saw a doctor for another health issue who heard me coughing and asked me how long I had been coughing. She looked at my records and said that I may be allergic to the lisinopril. He pulled me off of the medicine on the 30th day of taking it.
