I suffer from panic and anxiety attacks quite often. Part of it is just my nature, and part of it is because I went through some traumatic experiences over the last few years, with my abusive ex-husband. I tend to lose my nerves rather quickly. Is there any treatment for this that you recommend?

Counselling sounds in order in your situation! People go to therapy even if they have no real issues, but it sounds like you certainly have your fair share of issues that you actually need therapy to. There are lots of different therapies for anxiety, and it sounds like you might have PTSD as well.
