lump above adams apple

I'm a 19 (going on 20) year old male and have a strange pea size lump, about an inch above my adams apple (an inch each way from the chin to the adams apple) - Please note that I don't believe this is the throat area and is nowhere near my thyroid; It seems it is directly centered. It is under the skin. I can pinch it if I push my finger and thumb up to grasp it and it feels like a little pea bassicaly under my skin which I can move. I've been having this weird feeling in the area around the little lump that I can't really explain...Just say that I can feel it in there without touching it. It doesnt hurt at all no matter what I do with it and doesn't interfere with swollowing or breathing. I smoke, but not a great deal, as well as drinking on the weekends and have no symptoms. I've been very worried lately reading about lumps and so on, I've nearly ruled out every single possibility except the most likely answers being a cyst, a gland, lymph node etc. I will go to the doctors for a check up but would be greatful if anyone has any proper knowledge to share based on what I've told you.

just wanted to say that I'm also 19 going on 20 and have the same thing. Just noticed it and wasnt sure what it was. Hopefully nothing bad...

I found one of those lumps on my adams apple, I got it check and was diagnose with folicular neoplasm. I must have surgery wich will be schedule tomorrow. If you have a small pea size lump on your neck, please get it check. first is a ultrasound then a biopsy and now surgery. Every one said those lumps are inofensive...mmm I dont think so. Please have it check asap.

 

can be a syst but can be other stuff like mine. the tini lump is not the problem is the lobe of the thyroid that also has a grouth and I did not even knew. So Please get your ultrasound done and you will feel much better :)

im a 22 yr old female and if i had an adams apple thats where the lumps would be, i have one the larger then the other, and i have about 5 other small ones pea size about or smaller.. i noticed them about 5 months ago and never went to the doctor.. i dont know if i should be worried, they feel like glands, but to small and to close together one of them is about a mm above the other and the others are randomly scattered around my voice box area

i have a similar issue i have a small bump about the size of a pea directly on my adams apple. any idea what it could be

I've had this exact same thing for quite some time now. It all started because I sing rock music, and when I sing, I sing really high notes. After a while of doing this, it starts to strain that area because I'm trying to sing notes that are just too high for me. Now, I have these lumps on my Adam's Apple that hurt really badly, but only when I sing high notes, or touch them.They're fine otherwise. I still don't know what they are, and will be going to the doctor, soon.

hi, you should defently go to the doctor.. my boyfriend is experancing exactly what you discribed...my father is a cancer doctor and checked him out and said it could be a thyroid nodual (not sure if thats spelled right) or a cyct. my father said he needs to have an oultersound to know exactly what it is..the next step is desiding if its a threat to your health, like non-canceres or canceres.

other symptoms you may be having is random gain lost and weakness. also random reacuring fevers, or night sweats/fevers. if you have a combanation of these then go see the docor...actualy with anything involved with your neck, witch provides breath and digetion...you should go see a doctor anyway. these things are 69% found in males than females.

Hi sorry i saw this is 3 years old dont suppose you had any positive feedback from a doctor/'? my exact symptoms yore describing, 21 male, worried, please get back to me

i have two lumps up and to the right of my adams apple one is a lil bigger then a pea and the other is about the size of a nickel alittle small actually. im 22 years old and im very worried. any help or advice or knowledge you have will help.

Yes I have one as well. I think I will go to the doctor. I had a tumor removed before from my bladder but it was benign according to pathology tests, although initially I was diagnosed with carcinoma (tumor with cells that have changed to cancers)  from a professor specialist. i had a enlarged prostate which is really rare for someone 24. I eat all organic food and I am very fit. My doctor said I am unlucky. They put a needle in my penis to look inside my bladder with a camera and found the tumors. my girlfriend left me as well because she is young and wants a hassle free life.  I have met a few girls since then but as soon as they hear about my medical issues I stop hearing from them. I dont have any family and have to take my self to the hospital and pick my self up. Its kind of fun being on morphine going home from the hospital though, but last time I got arrested because i got in a fight on the bus, but when they found out I had just been in surgery they released me without charges. I dont tell anyone that I know bout my situation anymore, and they kind of think I'm weird because I dont like to go out or anything anymore. I exercise a lot to keep myself in good spirits. Usually 2 hours a day.

omg!! i have the same thing, really worried its about  maybe a half inch or more above my adams apple and about the size of a nickel or quarter. it really hurts but going to the doc tommorow so will let yall know about what it is when i return
